Hypothesis
Cultures within African nations with high rates of development will be more closely aligned ideologically with other cultures within that nation.
Note
"Medical Ethnolinguistic Cultural Distance" was calculated by taking the largest Euclidean distance between two ethnolinguistic groups within a nation and adding it to the shortest distance, then dividing by two. GDP, percentage of men and women employed in agriculture and services, mobile phone subscriptions, and tertiary school enrollment rate are used as proxies of development. These data were combined using factor analysis and plotted against the medial ethnolinguistic cultural distance for each country.
