Hypothesis
Matriliny/matrilocality is associated with the matrilineal inheritance of property.
Note
This is tested by using the matrilineal inheritance of property as a proxy variable. The first p value given is the significance of the association between the trait and matriliny using the SCCS, and the second is using the supertree. The third p value given is the significance between the trait and matrilocality using the SCCS, and the fourth is using the supertree. Correlated Evolution analysis found that matrilineal descent and matrilineal inheritance stabilized each other's presence.
Test Name | Support | Significance | Coefficient | Tail |
---|---|---|---|---|
Chi-Square, Correlated Evolution | Supported | p = < .001, p = < .001, p = < .001, p = < .001 | UNKNOWN | One tailed |
Variable Name | Variable Type | OCM Term(s) |
---|---|---|
Matrilocality | Dependent | Residence |
Matriliny | Dependent | Rule Of Descent |
Matrilineal inheritance of property | Independent | Inheritance |
